@RomanRI sure know exactly what you mean. Steven Wilson from Porcupine Trees says the same thing as you do. They are more modern, even if they are older but still, they do have a point. I listen to them when I make 3D and that gives me energy to work at all. I just love this. So pure and aggresive.    Best drummer after Neil Pert as well. He is special. So how is our odds from our point of view? Ukraine do not give up and that is good. Russia has 10% of the power USA has, which Putin said in a 3 hour long video. They have high tech, but is it enough? What is the soldiers will? Why do they fail? So many questions. They should win really but they fail...  They did also fail in Afghanistan. So many Russians did shift side in the conflict as well. Putin is a very dangerous man and why does not anybody manage or try to kill him? I mean, Fetisov could just hit him with a hockey club. They are friends after all.    Fetisov do train Putin in Hockey and Putin is not bad hockey player really.

How did Ukraine get the colors on their flag? Around 1710, our King Karl XII fought against Peter the Great and Cossack's helped him and they also liked our king a lot. To honor Sweden or just copy our flag, they took our colors.    Is our colors so unique?  Well I guess so really. All other European countries are using red, blue and white, we do not. nor Ukraine. Well not really...     He is happy as a king can be.    It is good to have a king representation our country and that is how we sell weapons. We wouldn't been so rich without our weapons and without our king. That's for sure. Is Swedish weapons so good? Well it is the best there is.    I know, I did use and test them. I also made Radar for Ericsson, one of the leading companies within military and computing and Mobile Phones. Military made Ericsson rich. Is it possible to have factories in such a country as Sweden? Well not really. All production is done in China, but not our weapons.

You mean age? According to yours you mentioned some years ago I'm little over decade younger.

Take over the Russia? What for? Not worth it. For Ukraine things are quite bad now, no doubt of that. But even if Russia win, they lose in fact. They will show everyone that Russia isn't a country belonging to 21st century. Corrupted, run by oligarchs and defacto mafia state, for which every agreement or treaty is nothing more than piece of toilet paper. They behave like lousy thieves, stealing a land from other country and all they offer now are dead people, destroyed cities and tanks in their streets. Who will trust them? And pacting with countries like North Korea shows how low you can get.

@RomanRI cannot agree more. Like the crazy emperors of the Roman Empire, they where maffia as well. I just made a post about them in a modding thread where we debate ideas for a future mod. it is 2 postings, and I start with my thoughts about Julius, then I mention, Augustus, Tiberius, Caligula, Claudius and finally Nero. My Russian friend and also my GF does not believe this did happen.     I cannot convince them with these videos. Why was the videos 1969 so blur? They used a TV cameras with 320 lines, invented 1958. The photos was taken by the best camera available back then, the Swedish Hasselblad made in my city Gothenburg and I have been inside that factory, scrubbing the floors 1981. It was amazing inside. So what about the real Camera they did use? It is in our amusement park in a section called Space Port. I do not recall if it is the original or a replica but it does not matter really. Is it possible? Well nothing is impossible.   We did create Russia by making the city Novgorod, which was built up by Swedes.    Dream on...    It is not impossible. Changing the attitude will be hard. Cleaning up all corruption will be extremely hard. Insert true law and order will almost be impossible. But not 100% impossible, nothing is.   The Roman Senate was corrupted around 50 BC, when Julius Caesar took over as dictator, elected by the people, to clean up that mess, which he did promise to do. Do we not have mafia in Sweden? Yes we have. What do we do about them right now? Hunting them with help of a new law, using military intelligence. Do we succeed? Well slowly but steady, I think we can win in the end really. They are also killing each others, mostly with help of the Swedish simple M45 auto, which we do have loads of. Did I ever used the M45 against somebody? Well I did chase a couple of German Tourists ones. When I did point at them, they sure got in a hurry.    At that point, I had 64 bullets, which is against the law, as we should only had 3 bullets. But I was guarding 6 SAAB JA37 Viggen, and 3 bullets it not enough. 64, 2 doyuble Magazins might have been enough. Would I had survived a real attack? Most likely not. I was also a bit jumpy during those guarding sessions for sure, but prepared to use it. We did train to shoot the targets in their legs or arms. Killing is not necessary. If you get a bullet in your leg, you will not be able to do much, depending on the chock you get.

East or West Germans?  That did not matter really. We where not in Nato. I did not ask. West Germans most likely as they where everywhere during the summer in Sweden. They did see the planes, wonder5ed what they where, I think I told them JA37 Viggen.    I do not remember honestly.

Did we ever beat Russia in any battle? Yes, the battle of Narva. 6000 Swedes against Peters army of 20k or similar. Around 1700. The Russians just ran away...    Swedes shot them in their backs. It was a massacre. Why? Well Russia did started it by take what is Saint Petersburg today from Sweden. Peter did need it for his new planned fleet.

What did happen after Narva? The Swedes went the wrong way, in to Poland instead of Russia. I think they spent 5 years in Poland, cleaning it.

But as Afghanistan showed to both USA and Russia, there must be will of the locals. If people themselves don't want a change, all is a wasted effort. Now they have practicaly middleage there and seems they don't like it. But serves them right, it's what did they choose. Russia has another problem. Including Putin they're all living in a past and illusion how great they are. Their propaganda brainwashed them to believe they solely won 2nd World War and their problems are other's fault (the West of course). In times of Soviet Union there was politbyro at least which had power to correct and in worst case force president  to leave. I do have a friend from Russia, Iouri Kousnetsov, former Sovjet Volleyball player. Unfortunately I cannot debate stuff with him as he is delusional. I could write down his thoughts, as he would not read here anyway and he do believe it all is true.

Well what about Fetisov? He ones did sue Sovjet to be able to leave to Canada 1989 and Iouri did leave the same year for Sweden and Kungälv Volleyball Club. he did win Europa Cup before he left Sovjet. Krutov train kids...   But lets see them play as I doubt you ever saw them during the 80's?  Watching them play is like watching Ice dancing or balett.

I did hate to see them play. Today I just miss them and I really like what they where able to do. They also did train double as everyone else, in a closed camp 11 months a year. Larinonov called it a prison. One single phone call to their girlfriends a week. Do they really look happy?  Nope.  Do they like hockey? Yes they all do. 4 of the best are still friends. Kasatonov was friend with the trainer and a traitor according to Fetisov so they never talks. Where is kasatonov now? Well he was back in Russia in one video, but he has a life in Canada. Fetisov? Putins personal hockey coach and sports minister.

Is it possible this will ever happen again? Well putin did force Fetisov to hire the old coach back. I am not sure he is still alive now really. Only one thing did count for him. Victory or be gone, not what the players did think about anything.

With due respect to him, if he really believes what you wrote, I think he suffers from some mental disorder. Also it's an indirect proof why your idea of taking over Russia is futile. You gain nothing and for them it will be only a proof of the West as their enemy. They're hopeless.
