Gantz79
@EttenrocalNo, precisely that's the funny thing even if you delete your mods they keep them and you can keep downloading them if you have the links or they are included in some collection, I still receive download counts of more than 200 mods that I deleted but not the points they generate, so I don't think the main intention of this change is the storage space of the site, rather it is intended so you don't create many mods for unpopular games to accumulate 4000 downloads and create one for some popular game, if you work hard to create many mods for the same set of users you won't be rewarded. Quote Link - Donation Points System update Uploading multiple mods will still be rewarded but authors will start to see diminishing returns from having more interactions with the same user(s). After a certain number of interactions from the same user across all your mods, the value of these interactions drops drastically. It can and does drop to 0. I for example no longer create versions or variants at the request of the communities and only share the mods I create for me, whenever I think that the mod can interest a little to waste time on screenshots, descriptions, upload, offer support, etc ... if the mod is not successful the following month I delete it and leave space for another that if you can have it, it's very simple. Ettenrocal
I get it, they swifted from unique donwloads to unique users... They not value new content and work but new users you bring... I'm sure some peoples could still spam their abusive mods even with this system. M&B Warband is a niche (especially the scenes) and indeed that will still be the same 100-200 peoples who download scene and know how to install it. My scenes can also be used by other modders for their total conversion mods and i didn't ask any donation point for this. Nexus teams are probably very proud of their system but its simply so bad and irrespect. Also M&B Warband is maybe old but is still quite popular game having still in the 5000 players daily on Steam. This is not my problem to bring new users to this website, i make mods i like on game i like. Thanks for the insights. Ettenrocal
I don't think so this kind of peoples will always figure out even with this new algorythm. You can just spam mods in different games to reach more different users... The only real solution is to cap mod income and define better what is "high engagement mod", there's ton of minor mods that not take same amount of time (graphical, sound UI mods, adult mods) like i said modding should not be a job and should not allow thousands of dollars monthly income. Maybe they should make an algorythm to detect suspicious mod author behavior instead of sanctionning everyone and there's literally nothing more fair in this system. I think this system suits you well cause with your 3 mods on Fallout 4 and one collection (dos this count as a mod?)... i'm pretty sure that took you 100X less time than my 50 castles. I certainly not the person who abuse. Edited December 11 by Ettenrocal

My 240 SMM patches is a patch hub mod, not a mod collection (it had 3 patches when I first uploaded it in 2023). I have updated my 5 mods 62 times and added more to them after I first uploaded them. I'm getting less now than I did before. Also, I didn't say you were abusing the system.
