DrunkKagouti Posted January 7 Posted January 7 (edited) i downloaded this mod https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/40728 and it worked fine but then i tried to downloaded this mod https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/62773 and it said something about changes outside of vortex and now the one piece of the first outfit looks really stretched even if uninstall reinstall the mod any help would be appreciated thank you. Now every time i even download a new mod it asks me about the one mod having external changes and whether or not to save or revert i selected revert but nothing changed. This is all for skyrim special edition by the way. Edited January 7 by DrunkKagouti
7531Leonidas Posted January 7 Posted January 7 You might have more success posting on the Skyrim SE forum. Get there by using 'Game Communities' under 'Browse' at the top of the page, scroll down/search for Skyrim. It is usually close to the top. Join the forum(s) you wish to post in. Which mod does Vortex cite in the warning? You could try to go to the mod's page and ask there. In any case, it is probably a mod that is trying to restore itself, in the same way as one of my CBBE3BA mods adds a _merged file to establish some install variables, which Vortex detects as an external change, in spite of the fact that the mod adding the merge was installed through Vortex. Have you tried to save the change, and see what happens? You can always uninstall/reinstall the offending mod later, if you choose. Just make a save in the game before you do any of this, so you won't have as great a chance for problems in making changes later.
DrunkKagouti Posted January 7 Author Posted January 7 it cites the daring demon hunter mod in the warning doesnt cite anything else.
DrunkKagouti Posted January 7 Author Posted January 7 i have previous saves that havent been loaded with any of these mods as well.
showler Posted January 7 Posted January 7 Unless set up very, very correctly Bodyslide creates files in the game folder and those are "external" to Vortex. Usually, just accepting the changes (using the "newer" ones) will result in Vortex updating the files in the staging folder and make it work correctly.
DrunkKagouti Posted January 7 Author Posted January 7 (edited) well it only messed up two pieces out of the whole thing i set up skyrim a long time ago it is set to go to the mod folder why it would have done anything with the game folder i dont know so what could i do now if anything to fix this? Edited January 7 by DrunkKagouti
showler Posted January 7 Posted January 7 Do you know which files it is complaining about? Are you able to do a purge and re-deploy to see if that fixes it?
DrunkKagouti Posted January 7 Author Posted January 7 all the files from that mod im pretty sure and i dont know what you mean by purge..
