Mod Browsing Overhaul Discussion

The tiles are not wide enough anymore, so now it looks lousy with both headings and descriptive text shorten down with "....". There is also too much space used between each tile.

Settings - Preferences - Default search view - Small tiles (or Big tiles) don't work if I switch.

It was way better before 😉

Got to wonder if the site owners will be responsive to overwhelming negative feedback or if they'll double down and alienate more of their userbase. Either way i'm still never going to pay for anything here.

I'm not sure what constructive feedback to give other than the old design was much better. If it isn't broke, don't fix it. Sometimes just changing something to make it "new" doesn't make it better. There was nothing wrong with the old design and the new format is... horrible.
Been a member of this site for nearly 17 years now and this is one of the worst changes, design wise to have happened in all that time.

The previous design was good, it was condensed and the mods were right there in your face when you clicked on a games page, this new design is way too spaced out.

We are putting some more HotJar surveys live on the new pages soon, we did that during the beta and had over 2,000 responses.

You'll get more useful feedback than you did with the previous optional BETA.

You know what was weird about the survey for the open BETA? The survey popup started seconds after I joined the BETA, it should have waited a few hours or days? It was like "In first impression, do you like it or not?" I ignored it for a while and answered it later, but I don't know if it was the same for other people. And we only allowed one answer, people were not allowed to change their mind later. (Deleting cookies might have brought back the popup but I'm not sure about this anymore).

Hey @Revenge096 This shouldn't be displaying like this -  there should be a max of 4 per row. Can you tell me what device, browser and screensize you have please? Also, are you zoomed in or out and running any plug-ins? Thanks.

I gotta admit, I think that having 5-6 mods showing per row is actually great since (I am taking a guess based off of what I've seen, and others comments) the vast majority of people use Nexus Mods on a Computer, or a device with a larger screen size.

Optionally though, a button in the search menu to toggle a more 'mobile' (bigger images, mods taking up more space for visibility, etc) and a 'pc' (more mods per rows, smaller images, etc) would be really helpful!

So your telling me that it was literally only a yay or nay. Not more in depth about certain parts and not even a section to fill out what was wrong? Just yes or no.

That's not a beta test

That wasn't what I said, IIRC the survey had a five-point rating and an optional text area, but it popped up as early as possible and if the user submitted the five-point rating without thinking twice, there was no way to enter details and resubmit. I'm pretty sure this is what they call the positive 80% response.

Ah okay. Didn't know the rest as you didn't state originally.

They really should do a poll now that it's here. Would be better data now.
