The redesign is trash. It is soulless and ugly and everything takes up way too much space. Add a toggle to go back to the good design.

Looks like the tampermonkey scripts to remove the /games part in the url so that you can use the old site ui no longer work. Well at least not for me. It just refreshes the page constantly until you get a 10 minute suspension. That's a bummer. And the download history still doesn't seperate games anymore. If anyone is curious you now have to be on a specific mod for whatever game you're currently browsing and then click my mods then download history. It won't work if you click straight to download history as all the mods will be together for every game.

I agree with what people are saying here. The old design was fine; the new one is a step back in so many ways already mentioned in this thread (space usage, layout, search usability, missing features).

If this really is "part of your ongoing plan to improve our website experience", then I implore you to listen to the hundreds of comments of user feedback that have been posted (not just here, but on the site's Reddit and Discord too) instead of adopting a "we know best" mentality.

Please revert to the old design and put this one back in the beta test. It's really not good and majority of us hate it - I personally can't stand it. I'm not sure why the design team is swearing by this new design so much. This really needs to be taken back to the drawing board. Please revert before you lose your good faith. Nobody asked for a redesign in the first place.

I really hate the new redesign, it has the same soulless corpo style that way too many other websites have been adopting to increase user engagement via ad revenue by kneecapping basic features. Pretty sure this is called enshittification.

I went back through the Wayback Machine and gave the Nexus a look through for every year. All the others when you put everything side by side looks like real natural evolution. This new one is very different from the rest, the rest are essentially the same thing with slight variation. They were all perfectly usable, visible, stylish and functional. I will take any other version that the new one, they all at least show more content on screen, literally every single one, I counted.

To this day I'd still rather use the pre-2017 design. The latest is somehow even worse than the 2017 one.
