I'm new to Stylus but I am getting this error when I try entering the code you posted.

You (as I'm doing this kind of edits) click the forums.nexusmods.com link in the Stylus drop-down menu and then erase all code in the big editor window and paste the new code. But since I'm using Firefox, you might need to leave your first line (mine is @-moz-document domain("forums.nexusmods.com") { ) intact and erase it from my code, IF you're on some other browser. Otherwise, idk what the problem might be.

Yeah, a site that doesn't give me a headache if I use it for too long is kind of a big deal.

The high contrast of the site is another thing they've been actively engaging with people about in this thread, and I've been part of those conversations because I have issues with high contrast when I have migraines. There's been a back-and-forth about it all week, where the developers working on the UI are directly replying to people with screenshots of adjusted UI and requesting feedback on the adjustments and their impact re:eye strain and headaches.

I don't think they're making much progress on that particular front, but I have seen them actually speaking with people and working on it.

Thanks I got it figured out. I was erasing Everything and trying to paste in your code when what I needed to do was just delete/paste over only the @-moz-document section and leave in the first 7 lines of header info.

They should have just made it so we could customize the color scheme just like you can with vortex.  I normally go out of my way to implement darkmodes even on sites that don't natively support them, and the mod search page is an eyesore.  The design as-is flies right in the face of desirable color schemes-101.  Super high-contrast setups are historically for people with vision impairments of some kind, and far from ideal for the general population.  Anyone with any serious degree of experience in web design would know this.

That point has been made very clear throughout the thread and in prior feedback on the same design changes they've been making. Unfortunately it appears from what they said that they've been working with someone with impaired vision to verify their designs, which skews everything towards super high contrast as the default. Several people have linked them to major accessibility guides covering the subject, and they've replied to those links as part of the same back-and-forth I mentioned earlier.

We'll see if they come back from that mistake, but in the meantime the best we can do is offer suggestions that might actually be usable, without burying them in meandering discussions (such as this one) in the process.

Thus, them moving posts out of this feedback thread and into topic-specific feedback threads if they deem those posts worth referencing. So far they're still on the first day of the thread, so they have a long way to go on that front.

Checking back in to say that selecting a game in the my games section now drops you onto the games modding page instead of not closing itself after selecting.

Glad that got fixed quickly as it probably was a small accident in the 1st place.

I'm glad to see staff are being more active and hope to see that road map in the monthly round up or something similar.

I do have a suggestion on that news article when it comes out, don't lock the comments and allow feedback on it. Not everyone uses or even checks the forums, so it'll be another decent spot for feedback.

If they're going to work with someone with impaired vision to verify their designs, they should make three "skins" for the site. One for a light-mode, one for a "pseudo-dark" mode based on the old UI's color scheme, and one high-contrast for vision-impaired users. The vast majority of people who use this site aren't vision-impaired - or at least, not to the extent that they actively need a high-contrast color scheme - so why harm the majority of users for the sake of the minority?

I'm speaking as someone for whom vision-impairment is a well known issue due to having grown up with a vision-impaired parent who did need high-contrast to see (and used the BUILT-IN high contrast color scheme WINDOWS has), but also as someone for whom this new color scheme - even with their extremely minimal tweaking - is physically painful, to the point of not being able to use the site for more than 20 minutes at a time.
