They must've noticed that the forum users discovered it. The Reddit is currently on fire too, so I would've 100% put the poll news there as well if it stayed up.

Honestly at this point I hope the fire continues until things change because unfortunately the only way things will change is not being civil about it. But being as annoying and obnoxious as you possibly can will make them open there eyes. Weirdly enough this is what happened in the U.S from both sides of the political spectrum. Want something to change just be loud and annoying...works everytim....apparently

Until they lock forums and reddit just as they did with the feedback section on the website.

A user (NOT MYSELF) submitted this understandable feedback and had their comment removed. I'm posting this here to shine light on Nexus' immense hypocrisy and disrespect for its users.

"This new layout is pretty terrible. Aside from now having to reliably wait for content to actually load when I scroll down a page, I'm getting far less useful content in any given frame of view. The cutoffs between the 'game/mod' relevant content and the pointless 'news' section ..."

THIS IS THE PITIFUL RESPONSE BY NEXUS:

"Thanks for the feedback.

We disagree and aren't at this time looking for further input from UX professionals. If you have objective feedback, please submit it here: https://forums.nexusmods.com/topic/13507498-mod-browsing-overhaul-discussion"

"WE DISAGREE!"

Lol, do you now?

The dictator agrees with his own propaganda, no surprise there.

Go ahead Nexus, delete this comment too, since free speech is so against your ideals!

The poll YOU RAN (and later chose to HIDE) would suggest that the site UI update is OBJECTIVELY AWFUL. You gathered the stats for us on that one, so THANKS!

By the way---I WOULD RECOMMEND YOU START LOOKING FOR THAT FURTHER INPUT FROM UX PROFESSIONALS 😄 YA KNOW CAUSE 99.98% OF USERS THINK YOUR NEW UPDATE STINKS!

Or you can be the thought police and delete every comment your team dislikes as you have been doing, if you prefer!

TLDR: Just posting this to laugh out loud at Nexus' hypocrisy. A user's GENUINE CRITICISM which contained NO PROFANITY was "declined."

Here's a tip for free--You guys should START LOOKING FOR THAT FURTHER INPUT FROM UX PROFESSIONALS, CAUSE YOU STINK AT DESIGNING WEBSITES!

Keep standing ten toes on this horrible update Nexus, I'm sure that will get users like myself who cancelled their subscriptions to return to tithe to your loathsome website.

yea which is unfortunate but while we still have a voice I just hope more people voice this concerns in the thread while they still can. This situation is so bad that I've never used a thread before but look where I am today.

Lookie here at just how many times that dingus has copy and pasted the same response to genuine criticism: Nexus Mods

Edit: Love the way that he gives a link to this forum, which he has not taken the time to read, that or ignores all genuine feedback. Even the guy who gave feedback with little webcode to fix the lag problems.

Lol, that's mine. Really not a fan of the condescending "We disagree and aren't at this time looking for further input from UX professionals" portion. It really feels good to have my feedback dismissed with a snide insult towards my 'credibility' to even be allowed to dislike something.

Perhaps I should suggest a "Report abuse" button towards responses next, because that was genuinely and frankly uncalled for.

What's funny is that you don't have to be a professional to know that something looks like s#*!. If a kid doesn't know how to use a phone, a game, app, or hates the colors, the ui design, or directions, and even accessibility it's  s#*! Like think about it, the people who makes smartphones(or games in the app store) with their ui and everything and it has millions of downloads today are basically GRAND WIZARDS....If a 6 year old knows how to use a phone, job well done. If he/she doesn't welp the kid is gonna get bored and do something else. Isn't their purpose to make money and not lose a customer who is addicted to their game or website?

I do not understand how something left it's Beta phase with less functionality/options than the thing it's getting updated from, guess Nexus is joining the modern gaming circle that it usually fixes. Even what's there is worse than it's predecessor, the site is slower functionally and as an experience as well, and the less I think about the new search bar the better, it's a damn travesty. Subjectively it looks much worse in every way, incredibly soulless. Any small pro that came out of this is so overshadowed by the cons that it's not even funny anymore. The money spent on this could have gone into a bonfire and it would have been money better spent, at least it would have given somebody some warmth.

Nexus is a monopoly on the level of Youtube in it's niche, so I am incredibly unsurprised that monopolies are gonna monopoly, except Valve but they're an exception to the rule. Considering the Nexus track record in the last few years I can even say that the response to this was very much expected even. I wish some other site would rise up to the challenge and at least eat some of the market share but most modding apps being linked into Nexus one way or another make that an uphill battle. Best we can hope for is a legacy mode but considering the down right malicious response to some criticism, I expect this is some nepo babies pet project that needs to exist and be seen, so low chances even for that.

This is, I think, my first post in these forums in the 15 years of this account, hopefully I can avoid having to rant/post in the forums for another 15 years after this, one way or another.

Edit: Apparently I made another post at some point that doesn't actually exist, neat.
