Mod Browsing Overhaul Open Beta

I'd like to leave a few things I didn't like:
- Too much empty space(yeah, a lot of people have already written about this);
- I'd like to have the option to hide collections for those who don't use them;
- Some parts of the new interface are too big, while some other parts are too small. "Trending Mods" are too big, and the regular mod list is too small. I'll attach a screenshot, I'm not sure if this is the way it's intended or a bug? Or is it because of my screen resolution (1600*900 and I can't do anything about it since it's a laptop)?

I find when you got to a mod and look for requirements, changelogs etc on the main page it's a bit visually hard to differentiate that from normal text content.

I also concur on the empty space, seems like content bloated out where when it was denser could see more in a single section at a given time.

How about fixing existing issues such as random download speed slowdowns (speeds as low as 150-200Kb/sec when I have gigabit fiber internet) on the premium servers & random outages/slow site loading times vs endless tinkering with the sites which only cause even more issues with random slowdowns/site outages?  Other websites load just fine on my end (switched to Firefox web browser after YouTube went to war with ad blockers which they ultimately LOST) so I know for a fact it's the Nexus - not my internet connection or web browser experiencing issues.  The past few months have been a total disaster in terms of overall Nexus website performance/random outages/slow download speeds on the premium servers.  I've had to switch to the CDN in order to get the download speeds I should be getting on the premium servers.  I bought Lifetime Premium membership back in June '13 due to the horrific slowdowns & inability to download mods half the time on the old data cluster which was a total disaster.  Now the premium servers are slower than the CDN which makes zero sense given the fact that I have lifetime premium membership & have had said membership for over a decade...

I'm really not a fan of all the wasted space it has. Other than that it seems OK.

On a game's root page, you now have:

  • The game header which isn't really needed and pushes everything down an inch or two.
  • A "popular collections" thing which I want turned off completely since I don't use collections (or Vortex).
  • And just a general large amount of spacing between the sections. There's too much spacing.

I want to be able to see the top/trending/hot/whatever you wanna call it section, as well as the 'new' section (aka 'more mods') below it without having to scroll down.

SO MUCH WASTED SPACE. Everything is oversised. i need to zoom out to 67% to even see a fraction of the amount of information the old layout had. why is the news section even bigger if you wanted to improve the site get rid of wasted information like that. we are on the site to look for mods not learn what your doing. the extraction of search and filtering from a dropdown is a nice change but if it still functions as poorly as before and dosent save changes then there is no point. also stop promoteing colections so hard when so many of the games on the site dont work well with vortex and collections just cause issues for the modders.

please please as part of this look at increasing filtering / sorting capability of the 'tracking' page!

1) being able to sort by category!

2) when sorting by author, having it maintain a static order instead of scrambling every time you flip between pages (so like having 'author' sorting be author + alphabetical)

3) best of all would be having some sort of user 'flag' or subfolder within "tracking" so that (when building a modlist) we can sort 'tracked' mods between stuff like a) installed b) to be installed c)) not installing just tracking for future updates, etc
