BHAitken
We want an installable AI that can sort out through our mod list and error reports and that can help us correct errors and conflicts. An AI that can talk us through any deficiencies and help us create patches. Yes, you can make an AI that will have conversations with us, can you make one that makes logical sense of all the (censored) that happens in the modding community? I dare ya... Karna5
What I find intriguing about that is it sounds a lot like having a child. My mom used to call me almost every week to have me drive over and help her with stuff not unlike that. To get to a stage where an AI can make patches for you, it needs to be at a stage where the AI is writing the games. The AI has to be capable of being an author to be able to patch them. Will that happen in our lifetime? Probably, but not soon.
scorrp10
Random thoughts: You have problems figuring out your mod issues on your own. You want an AI that is smarter than you, so it can figure out your mod issues for you. An AI like that, by definition, would also be better than you at doing whatever it is you do for a living. Thus you would be fired and replaced by AI. You would be unable to earn a living, let alone support your gaming hobby. ... I'd rather have to solve my mod issues myself.
DirebearCoat
Not to mention, that such an AI might be programmed to secretly monitor your computer and steal your data, outside of it's mod control duties. I don't trust AI on my PC. I don't use any of those AI assistants that MS tries to convince us to use on our PCs. There are Youtube videos that show you how to disable and uninstall some of those things. I would never trust AI on my PC.
