Kresr0ck
Why? I want to make my game a true EXPLORATION game. Where I can spend hours just to trying to find New Atlantis or other major locations. I know that it will make the smaller locations damn near impossible to find by removing their markers, but this is exactly why this game can truly become an exploration game imo. And what I meant by "EVERY Planet Map POI Markers" are these POIs (see the two images below): **NOT TO BE CONFUSED WITH GROUND MAP POI MARKERS**
HeyYou
For some, like, quest locations.... That may make them impossible to find. The tiles on a planet surface are only about 5 kilometers square...... there are a LOT of tiles on just one planet.... Trying to find a specific location without a marker, would be pretty close to impossible.

With the planet zoom mods, I guess it will be a little bit more possible, just a tiny bit more :]
HeyYou
Do you really wanna spend weeks of real time exploring one planet to find your quest location???? I don't....
Kresr0ck
Yes! :] I'm probably batshit crazy, but yes. With all of these markers, it just feels like you're going from A to B, where you always know where B is. I want to search for B.

No idea how the markers are placed/controlled though.....
Kresr0ck
I actually know how to remove ground map POI markers. But planet map POI markers, yeah I have no idea how I can remove them.. Edited March 1 by Kresr0ck
aurreth
I just want to get rid of Landing Area markers. Yes, I understand why they are in the game, but for me they just clutter things up. If I want to remember a landing point I'll just drop an outpost beacon.
HeyYou
Vanilla, the game only 'saves' three landing areas per planet. Go to a fourth location, and the first disappears..... There is a setting for that, that there is a mod that lets you change it. Not sure what the effects of setting to to zero would be.... but, setting it to 1 might work....
