JamesLikesGrape
I tried looking through other forum posts and I couldn't find another post detailing the same issue, which is a bummer. Anyway, to the problem itself Because of a separate issue, I had to delete my old Vortex app. Now with reinstalling it, I had hoped to merge my old vortex mod files back into the app itself, however if I try to set my mod staging folder to my old mod folder, the only option it gives me is to completely overwrite all my mods, which is not what I want. Just as a note I am modding Skyrim SE with the Constellations collection, with some mods added on. Is there any way to get my Vortex to recognise my old mod files and integrate them? Any tips or help would be appreciated!
ChemBoy1
what version of Vortex were you using previously? If it was a very old version, this could be a problem. Did you keep your Vortex data folder from your previous installation? Can you give a screenshot of the message you are seeing? Screenshots are very helpful if you would like people to assist you. showler
By "old mod folder" are you referring to the download folder or the staging folder. If the download folder then Vortex won't overwrite previously downloaded mods unless you tell it to make a second copy. But they have to be the exact same file. If the staging folder, then you can't to that unless you kept the Vortex folder in AppData as well. Otherwise Vortex has no way of knowing what it did to process the mods into the staging folder. It can't unbake the cake.
