scathtroy2147
https://archive.org/details/sse-creation-kit I don't have steam, GOG 1179. So, I downloaded this instead. I installed with mo2. I can't get any skyrim mods to appear. I could install it directly to the skyrim folder. Do need to nexus patch to make it work without steam? It appears to work without it. FYI, I'm aware of the xedit utility.
wfandrews
I do not believe there is a GOG version of the creation kit. Best bet in my opinion is checking on the GOG forum.

scathtroy2147
Is is working. Installed with MO2 https://www.gog.com/forum/elder_scrolls_series/skyrim_creation_kit/page1 https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/20061?tab=files Now to figure it out. Does anyone know if the extensions are worth. One modder will not support those who work offline. Edited April 3 by scathtroy2147
scathtroy2147
Not working Installed CK with MO2 --> open mod virtual folder --> click on exe --> asks to unzip scripts --> ok --> no skyrim data files to activate unzip CK into CreationKit folder --> unzip CK extended into folder --> zip CK folder --> install with MO2 Both method MO2 can't add into tools list. Installing directly [edit]
ModEnjoyer52
What are you up to? I have difficulty understanding what your current problem is. You have downloaded CK and can open it, but it does not detect mods as shown in MO2? Maybe it is best to not detect them. If you want to modify something in CK, you can manually place one plug-in at a time in the data directory CK is working from. Maybe this link is relevant: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/120703?tab=description Edited April 9 by ModEnjoyer52
scathtroy2147
I downloaded the creators kit, archive org. Installed with MO2 and check on it. MO2 will not detect creators kit. If you use the edit menu, teslodgen, textgen, dynodolod, etc to add the CK to the menu. The file doesn't appear. Navigating to the folder, nothing. If you right-click CreatorsKIt and open the virtual folder, click on the creators kit. It asks to unzip folders and yes unzip 16000 files. When CK starts up, there are no skyrim data or mods listed. I backed up the skyrim folder. Installed the creators kit manually. I still get unzipping files. When it launches, I think all the data folders are there, skyrim master files. When I launched skyrim, It asks for steam, I launched anyway and it worked fine. I then restored from the backup skyrim folder. If I unzip the creators kit to a desktop folder, then overwrite with any of the CK fixes and extended, zip that folder. Install with MO2. Same effect. No skyrim master files or any other mods appear. https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/41195 I'm going to try this one. Desktop CreatonKit folder --> unzip creation kit --> patch1 --> patch2 --> zip folder. Install with MO2. Working? [edit] Skyrim data files and mods are not being recognized. I can't get the skyrim ae script file from that link. It's either MO2 or creationkit without the patches. Also, MO2's author has locked out posting. The extended version won't help with those who work offline. That link requires it. Skipping... Edited April 12 by scathtroy2147
scathtroy2147
unzip creationkit into desktop 'creationkit' --> 'unzip Unofficial Creation Kit Patch' AE into creationkit folder --> unzip 'UCKP Patch For Skyrim AE GOG Edition (1.6.659)' into creationkit folder --> click on creationkit.exe and wait for files to unzip --> zip creationkit folder --> install with mo2 and checked --> now appears in MO2 menu --> launch creationkit MO2 --> warnings about missing files. no skyrim master files or mods appear. ?? ModEnjoyer52
Did the archive give you the latest version (v1.9.36.0)? It might tell you if you click on the executable and view properties. There will probably be problems with using an older version. I don't use CK through MO2, maybe others do but I don't think it is good. Can you try unzipping the archive in the Skyrim game folder? If you have the space, create a copy of your Skyrim game folder elsewhere and put the CK into that so you don't clutter the one MO2 is using. Then you open the CK directly, not through MO2, and don't add it as a tool. See if it detects the master files.
scathtroy2147
Uninstalling the creationkit and all it's patches is hard from the skyrim folder, installing with MO2 is the only option. https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/41195?tab=files Did that with this version. The nexus search is garbage! I have to use standard search engine to find all versions of creationkit fixes. Unofficial Creation Kit Patch AE Unofficial Creation Kit Patch AE-41195-6-3-1663412474.zip UCKP Patch For Skyrim AE GOG Edition (1.6.659) (1.6.659)-41195-2-1699897000.7z https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/20061?tab=files Same results, all skyrim masters and mods not visible. Even tried the extended edition, any attempt to install with MO2 will fail with no skyrim masters or mods present. >Then you open the CK directly, not through MO2, and don't add it as a tool. See if it detects the master file Nope, no effect. I suppose it could be mswin bug. No harm trying all again... The extended edition author won't support offline users. So, I have to skip it and it's uses that ugly black interface. PS, have this great idea for staff that makes soul gems much easier to work with. The lamp posts too. An MCM idea with all forms of lights. Edited April 18 by scathtroy2147
