Nuka Land Project/Discussion

I'm considering making a Nuka Land mod for New Vegas. Part of that will involve reusing existing carnival rides (Primm's roller coaster, Point Lookout Ferris Wheel, etc). Is there anything special one needs to do so that low-poly versions of these assets are rendered at a distance? Or does the engine just handle that for you?

The easy thing would probably be to make this an isolated map that one travels to/from via a waypoint if some kind. But I would *like* to place this somewhere in the main map to improve immersion.

You cannot use assets from Fallout3 in a mod for Fallout: NewVegas and vice versa. You can have the mod reference the game assets, but that would require the users to have both games installed.

That is the reason A Tale of Two Wastelands is not hosted on Nexus Mods.

The easiest thing to do is creating mod in Tale of Two Wasteland platform. That way you can make use of F3 assets, no prob~

Sure, that limit you to TTW user audience. BUT otherwise you have to do some shenanigans with F3 assets which is just risky~

Here's an excel spreadsheet showing the asset differences between Fo3 and FNV

I wish I'd known about this before, it would have saved a lot of messing around.

Anyway it looks like the OP is out of luck.
