Disallow authors from preventing user-voted tags

Authors having the ability to restrict users from voting on tags hurts search filtering across the entire website.

As an example, Monster Hunter Wilds has a lot of content popping up that is literally created with the intent of cheating, however authors have the ability to restrict users from tagging them as such to bypass filters.

Users should be able to vote on mod tags regardless what the authors opinion of their mod may be.

If it's being misused by either party it can be reported to moderators, but on the whole it is better to leave control with the authors.

If those MHW mods are for cheating online they break the site's Terms of Service anyway.

I'd disagree. I had to disable user tagging recently because someone was abusing it and marking all my mods with irrelevant tags, presumably to get them marked as NSFW.

Same happened to me. Some trolls were applying tags that had nothing to do with my mods, so I disabled user tags, too.

I suppose it depends on whether you think farting, prostitution & nudity are NSFW? Clearly you don't, but some might. Which is why the tagging is there. You might disagree with the tagging, but unless it's definitely being done to harrass you then I think it should stay on. Moderators can always review tags and ban those abusing them.

Modders can only ban users from their mod page when the user has posted inappropriate comments on their mod pages.  If a user thinks a tag should be included in a mod, then maybe suggest it the MA directly.

I doubt Nexus moderators signed up to volunteer their time reviewing all the tags on mods.  They left it to the MA, since it's their mod and mod page.  Any issues can be brought to the attention of Nexus if an author is obviously egregiously neglecting to tag.

Yes, I have some NSFW mods, which I tag appropriately. I guess you'll have to trust me that mods were being tagged incorrectly. Mods that have zero AI content were being marked as having AI content. SFW outfit mods were being tagged as extreme violence/gore. Mods that give NPCs a new routine were being marked as extreme violence/gore. Always enough votes to get them shown too, it's obviously a group of individuals targeting me.

Also, 'clearly you don't' ? Really?
