Converting a comment to a bug should include replies

When a mod author uses the function "Manage -> Move to Bugs" for a comment, the created bug does not include the replies to that comment.

This may be an intentional design decision.

But there are cases where lots of troubleshooting happened in the reply thread, before the comment was moved to Bugs. This means that you lose valuable information contained in the discussion.

There's an option to not hide the original comment, but that just adds confusion and noise for future users who read the long and out-of-date comment thread.

It seems that this function itself has a bug.

If you check both "Include replies" and "Set this comment as hidden", "Include replies" will no longer work.

Also, when you use "append it to an existing report", it takes a long time for the changes to be reflected.

Therefore, when using "Include replies" and "append it to an existing report", you should not use "Set this comment as hidden" and should manually hide the comments after confirming that they have been reflected in the bug report.

That's exactly what happened to me. I had a comment chain with 3 replies. I ticked both "Include replies" and "Set as hidden". The bug got created, but without the replies.

Now I see a count of 2 on the Posts tab heading, but there are no posts if you navigate to the tab. Clearly the two replies have been left orphaned and stuck in there.

Feels like this makes more sense in Bugs rather than in Suggestions.

This feature has always been incredibly janky. What we are doing is adding proper permalinks to individual comments, so we may be better to create a bug report that just references the original comment instead of moving it.
