Unable to log out of Vortex

I haven't used Vortex in a while, so my account was locked out due to inactivity. The issue is that I lost the email that went with that account and thus cannot verify the login attempt.

I've made a new account, but I cannot log out of Vortex in order to log in with my new account and uninstalling and reinstalling does not fix it. I do not care about losing any data, I'd just like to be able to mod my game.

I did contact the support team, their reply was to create a thread since my issue was with Vortex itself.

The old account doesn't matter, it can be discarded with no issue. I just want to force a log out or utterly erase Vortex to get a 100% clean installation.

Delete or rename the Vortex folder in your user AppData folder.  That will wipe out all of Vortex's stored data.
