Hi everyone,

I've recently installed FO4 along with a handful of mods, most notably a mod called The Builder as I wanted to focus on decorating and detailing settlements. No issues for a few days until today when I was trying to build a heavy laser turret.

"The Builder" is essentially a bundle of plugins and other mods. I downloaded and installed it via Vortex - what I didn't know is that "The Builder" includes another mod called "Invincible Lazy Cat and Alien Turrets" and it basically builds, well...inanimate cats as turrets. I find this thing ridiculous so I decided to disable it.

When I loaded my last exit save I've lost about 90% of the props. I enabled the mod again but to no avail.

The mods were still installed in Vortex, but not showing in-game.

Can anyone help me please? Thank you very much.

If you saved your game while the mod was disabled, and then loaded that one, the results are as expected. With the mod enabled, load a save from BEFORE you disabled it. See what happens.

Thank you.

Tried this method. Still no success. Basically when I go to in-game mods order list all of my mods are not showing up despite being correctly installed and enabled via Vortex. That's my main road bump at the moment - getting the main game to synch with Vortex.

Is OneDrive running? Is your 'my games' folder absorbed into it? That's been known to cause some interesting issues......

Is vortex showing all your mods as enabled???

Disable onedrive, cloud storage just isn't helping here. 😄

I seem to remember something about the 'creations menu' doing odd things to your load order, but, can't find that thread now..... Your plugins.txt resides in your user folder in the AppData\starfield folder... (hidden folder, so, have to set windows to show those) have a look at the file to see if it thinks those mods SHOULD be loading.... (if they are listed in there, they *should* load.)

So, "The Builder" is a Collection.  If you disable a mod in the Collection you need to be sure that no other mods in the Collection depend on that mod.

You should also, after disabling the mod, right-click on it in the Collection and choose the "ignore" option so that Vortex doesn't try to re-enable it to "fix" the Collection.

Appreciate your help man. I'll take this as a pointer moving forward. However, I still can't get the base game to recognize my mods, despite them being installed and enabled via Vortex.
