I hope now that this will force the government to implement much stricter immigration and Assylum laws.

Well we don't want to become too paranoic with that. We already had this stupidity with trying to send those poor people back to Zimbabwe for instance. The government seems to be taking silly directions on this rather than useful ones. I hope this changes that. :P

No doubt the government will be pushing for these new ID cards even more now.

*Shudder* I hope not. I still don't quite see how that will help, and they still don't give us any concrete details either.

But on a sort of postive note our emergancy services responded rapidly and effectivley and got things moving again.

Agreed, the emergency services did an amazingly quick, effective and efficient job. When I was watching the news it almost seemed calm; everyone seemed to know what they were doing and it really did reflect well.

Well today the buses are running as usual, so arrived at work.

We always knew it was going to happen and it was a question of when. But London is used to terrorist bombs. It is probably the least effective place for them.

I did my seven mile walk before I knew the true extent of the carnage. When I arrived at the hospital for my appointment it had not surprisingly been overtaken by events. I wasn't walking seven miles back to work so I had a free afternoon.

This morning I am a tad stiff!
