EA Recommend Game Roll-Back

Yes, the ass hats have managed to release a patch just as buggy as the original game itself. Congratulations EA, you jackasses.

Our server will now be reverting back to the original release (no patch) since the new one causes memory leaks that cause the server to crash every 2 hours.

In order to play on our server (and almost ALL the ranked servers out there) you will need to reinstall the game. That's right, EA haven't even provided a way to revert back to the original game. Good job.

Really does suck that such a good idea is mucked up by an incompentent development team.

I genuinely hate Electronic Arts. They are notorious not only for the constant fodder of non-original-releases, but also for churning out incomplete buggy titles.

When EA took over Origin, they totally gutted the original Ultima staff (who had planned an EXCELLENT non linear, fully interactive finale to the series.)

Unfortunately, Hackis page which had the complete story is no longer available, but you can thank EA for disgracing one of the greatest rpg games of all time. They insisted on converting it into an action adventure for beginners and an astoundingly rubbish one at that.

Gaan eet 'n sak vol kak' EA.

Please let me add that EA is not the creator of the Battlefield Series, it is the Swedish company Digital Illusions (Dice). EA has nothing to do with the patch, hell they dont even made the game(s).

Yes, EA has bought up Dice, but EA has nothing to do with the development of BAttlefield 2 as far as I know. :/

In this case, EA isnt the ones being incompetent, its the team at Digital Illusions.

EA are the publishers and are well known for enforcing strict release times on developers, irrespective of whether the game is finished or not, as was the case with Battlefield 2. EA also work with Dice to produce the patches, but obviously both groups thought the other was meant to be testing the patches, hence why we've had these god awful shananigans.

Okay, now I understand.

I have always hated EA, they buy up all the small, good and talented game-studios and eventually turns it into crap. They want to have full control everywhere...
