JimboUK
@jim_uk So I am sexist for pointing out the amount of money taxpayers are using on buying penis pumps for men then pointing out the rise of STD among the elderly who choose to not use protection which in fact is then being treated at the tax payers expense too? Harbringe just pointing out something I was about to address... Well stated Harbringe  Let's change this... Seems like a vicious cycle of wasted money for people who are using penis pumps at the expense of tax payer dollars just to get sexually transmitted diseases which will be paid by tax payer dollars to treat. To this.... Seems like a vicious cycle of wasted money for people who are treated for painful gynecologic conditions at the expense of tax payer dollars just to get sexually transmitted diseases which will be paid by tax payer dollars to treat. Anyone who posted the latter would obviously be a raving misogynist, what does that make the person who posted the former? I'm not singling you out, sexism is rife on the left, only men are on the receiving end of it rather than women. However, two wrongs don't make a right and for the left to attack extreme conservatives when it comes to sexism is hypocrisy of the highest order. colourwheel
Seems like a vicious cycle of wasted money for people who are treated for painful gynecologic conditions at the expense of tax payer dollars just to get sexually transmitted diseases which will be paid by tax payer dollars to treat. This statement above doesn't even make any sense, I am sorry to say.... There is no data that upholds this statement to even be remotely true. If your trying to make some claim about women and painful gynecologic conditions please feel free to post a link. Otherwise you're the one who seems sexist.... At least I provided links to the increase of STD's among elderly men that coincides with erectile dysfunction rates... http://www.cbsnews.com/news/sexually-transmitted-disease-rates-rise-among-elderly-why/ "According to a 2010 study that examined the relationship between erectile dysfunction rates and STD rates among the elderly, the dramatic rise in STD cases coincides with Viagra's introduction in 1998, HealthPopreported." If you think I am being sexist I am sorry deal with it, didn't realize males have been so oppressed over the last century... HeyYou
One of the religious rights major arguments against birth control, (aside from the religious aspects) is that it potentially promotes promiscuity. After all, one of the main reasons the younger set DON'T indulge, is the possible consequences. (getting pregnant) Remove that consequence, and you remove a fair bit of motivation to refrain. Sure, there are indeed beneficial uses for controlling cycles, etc, but, that seems to be a secondary concern. (to them)

If you think I am being sexist I am sorry deal with it, didn't realize males have been so oppressed over the last century... People who can have sex are more likely to get sexually transmitted diseases than those who can't is a statement of the obvious, quite why that needs a study is beyond me. The rate of sexually transmitted diseases among women who are sexually active will be a lot higher than with those who aren't. Should conditions that make sex painful or impossible for women not be treated? after all the rates of infection among that group would rise too. As for being sexist, I've been around long enough to know you don't look at the just the words but the intent behind them, what was behind yours is plain to see, I shall say no more on it. I would suggest getting back on topic but it's not exactly clear what that topic is, is it wasting taxpayers money? is it a lack of female medical provision? is it yet another attack on conservatives?
