Jupiter0026 Posted February 10, 2014 Share Posted February 10, 2014 Hey, I've just recently had to re-installed Skyrim for a OS re-install, so I've got to re-install my mods as well. The first thing I installed was SKSE, version 1.7.0, with the hopes of using the newly implemented memory fix to increase the stability of my game. I have been following Gopher's tutorial: here, but I've run into a bit of a problem: I don't have an SKSE folder anywhere. In his tutorial, around 22:54, he shows you the directory which contains the .ini file you need to edit. He also tells you to create an .ini file if you don't have one. I, however, don't even have the folder. I could create one, but that seems to be avoiding the real problem, which is the fact the folder wasn't generated when I installed SKSE, which could signify deep-rooted issues with the installation. I've tried everything I can think of to fix this corrupted SKSE installation. I've re-installed Skyrim and tried installing using both the automatic installer and installing manually. Nothing works. I thought maybe the game needed to be ran for it to generate, so I tried, but to no avail. Here's a screenshot of my Data folder (completely fresh, SKSE installed): here. eSoDian Posted February 10, 2014 Share Posted February 10, 2014 (edited) If you don't have mods that have SKSE plugins, that folder won't exist, you have to create it yourself, cause if you check the content of the SKSE archive, there's no SKSE folder in the Data folder either. Well Just had this problem myself and decided to Log in just to say 'thanks'.. im guessing jupiter0026 vanished off the face of the earth, so he couldn't say it himself. I installed mod organizer earlier and have been downloading several mods through nexus mod manager with no problems and then all of a sudden when I go to download another mod it opens up mod organizer. So I uninstall mod organizer and try it again through nexus and nothing happens... wtf? this modding thing is so complicated... Help... what do I do? RevolverCC Posted April 15, 2015 Share Posted April 15, 2015 Mod Organizer is the preferred method for modders who are using a good number of mods (where alot of file and texture overlaps occur) For most modders NMM is more than adequate for their needs and a great place to get them started.
