demon69120 Posted July 22, 2009 Posted July 22, 2009 Well, a lot of great mods either require OBMM or OBSE. They're both oblivion mod managing tools and launchers right? So I can't use both, or have mods that require both launchers?
alex2avs Posted July 22, 2009 Posted July 22, 2009 Yes you can .OBMM will launch Oblivion via OBSE_loader. if it's available ;)
AncientSpaceAeon Posted July 22, 2009 Posted July 22, 2009 OBMM and OBSE is two different things, OBMM is a tool for managing mods, OBSE to make some mods that requires them playable. You can use them both, you can use one of them, you can use none of them.
LFact Posted July 22, 2009 Posted July 22, 2009 OBMM = Oblivion Mod ManagerOBSE = Oblivion Script Extender Totally different.
demon69120 Posted July 22, 2009 Author Posted July 22, 2009 Oh. :wallbash: Thanksyou lol. Trying to get to understanding everything.
bben46 Posted July 22, 2009 Posted July 22, 2009 I recommend using both. They are not mutually exclusive and actually do 2 entirely different things. The Script Extender, OBSE allows modders to do things in mods that the game designers never dreamed would be possible. Once installed, you will never see it as long as it is launched first. The only time it does anything is when a mod requires it. If no mods need OBSE, and it is installed, it dosn't have any effect at all. The Mod manager OBMM allows for changing load order, as well as many other useful functions. And has a built in launcher that will automatically load OBSE first if it is installed. OBMM actually closes when you start the game. All of its functions are handled outside of the game.
