I'm hoping to go to the US Air Force Academy. Its free and all you got to do is serve with the the military for 8 years with good pay and after that you get a nice fat pension if you retire. :D

Letsseee... I'm going into 10th grade, and will be taking...

Pre-Calculus -----This one should be interesting, i'll be in in a class with all the juniors...

German III -----This should be marginally interesting- my only problem with it is that I'll have the same teacher for four years in a row, ugh.

English 10 -----BOOOOOOOOOOORRRIINNNNGGGGGGG.... I bet I read more books than my teacher does, and even I find this irritating!

World Cultures/ American History----- World Cult. is interesting, american history is boring. Yuck.

Fine Arts II ----- This one will hopefully be good- last year, it sucked, even though I'm a year ahead of mots other ppl- there's a few that are bumped ahead with me.

Science ----- This one should be interesting, but I can't remember exactly what type of science we're taking.

What age group is American college for?

In the UK college is for 16+, and university is for 18+.

My year out is almost over and I'll be starting a 3 year Computer Science Bsc course at Exeter university at the end of September.

In the US you got to go through grade school. (Grades 1-12)

After that you can go to college. For most US colleges you must be 17+ to enter with the slight exception to baby genius's like my 10 year old cousin who already graduated grade school.

I hate it when he beats me in chess. :*( :*(

I use basically the same system as Slaiv as far as difficulty goes. Goin into 10th grade, in a public school system that thinks adding 15 minutes to a school day is going to acheive a higher level of education. Bs....

~German II (favorite class easy)

~Web Design I

~Algebra II Hon.

~English II Hon.

~Chemistry I Hon.

~AP European History

Failed the first AP test, hey it was my first one ever, but I got a C on the next one. Im claimin, at this rate, I'll get an A on the next one!

College? Phh! Come back in 2 years.

Anthropology, not Mythology. lol

And yes Weight Training, its fun.

Here in Canada grade school runs 1-8 (ages 5 to 13)

High School runs 9-12 (ages 13-18)

University and College are the same thing, but colleges tend to focus toward non-specialized jobs, and Universities toward highly specialized jobs.

In Australia, it's k-6, then 7-12, then whatever you want to do after that.... of course i think you're allowed to drop out of school when you turn 14 and 9 months or something.

I don't particularly like the school system in this country, because it tries to emphasise the need to go to a tertiary education to get a good job. Yes to get the REALLY good jobs you do, but Australia is in a skilled labour shortage, and i'd say that about 95% of students end up going to uni or tafe... The country is undercutting itself...
