I'll get it inspected but the damage seems to be superficial-lost an awning and one of the windows is broken nothing heavy seems to have hit any of the walls. The Hill's Hoist took a direct hit but it's still standing(albeit a little crooked) The carport is a mangled mess. It took the brunt of the(rather large) gum tree and it's legs seem to have collapsed. The roof section seems fairly intact, it's the legs that seem to have given way.

 

As for replacing the car, I may get a used GT-R this time. It was a Subaru that got pancaked, and it was an exceptional machine while it lasted, but since Subaru has since stopped making that model, with the successor two years away, I think I might get a GT-R instead, since it's mostly going to be for weekend use, and with the Land Rover now I don't need it to double as a load hauler.

 

For those internationals here who aren't familiar with them, this is a hill's hoist. It's a sort of spinney thing that you hang your laundry on. Apparently they're proof against saplings, vicious 130 KP/H winds, and foul smelling socks.

Maybe you should buy an obsene amount of bubble wrap and line the walls of your computer room, as well as your PC?
