I found disassembling metal items with tools was fun and finding out what was inside them was considered okay as long as I could reassemble them in working order. I began taking motors apart after I built a plastic see through 8 cylinder engine as a child.

Most of todays youth have hands on skills with software programs I understand now, but all of you are light years ahead of me with the skills. You all are the geniuses I remember the textbooks described would occur once access was gained to libraries through this technology.

naomis8329 Would you mind if i disassembled the ECG machine so I can see all its parts. I wonder how it works is all. I am curious about mechanical and electronic devices. At least I am until I have gotten a real close look at what makes them function.

That's fine so long as it continues to do the job. Between that and the scanner I think I will have used nearly all the machines in the bloody hospital over the years, except the defibrillator luckily :D
