Audio over hdmi is indeed a good way to go but let's not forget everything stands and falls with the quality of the source material. A 96kbps mp3 file is still going to sound like a 96kbps mp3 file whether it's transmitted over hdmi, 3.5mm jack or spdif. And the higher the quality of the equipment the worse that mp3 file is going to sound.

I've got a Creative Titanium soundcard connected to Logitech x-230 speakers. It doesn't really do music justice but I can't afford any better. :P

Depends how much you know about filtering and what software you use, i can transform mp3 audio into a lossless quality format, not just the format butt he sound quality.

yes it is, in some cases allot louder then your built audio chip on your mobo. Not to mention quality is better to. Coming from experience on board sound isn't all that great.

I forgot that quoting anything religious isn't allowed >.> (Even though I dont think someone can call himself religious after so much hate)

Either way sorry mods, won't happen again.

So I guess you'd recommend that I get a separate sound card?

My on board (M4A785TD-V EVO) one is pretty good as far as I can hear, but maybe I only THINK that I it's good because I have been using it for a long time :psyduck:

This requires research
