Iv000 Posted March 31, 2013 Share Posted March 31, 2013 Did anyone play GW2 lately?I just got back to it and its freezing, then the screen flickers, then it goes back in game. It's annoying as hell and idk what's causing it. I didnt change hardware, I only changed my OS to 64 bit and my drivers to the newest ones.Everything else works fine. That's a fine score, just not one to be expected from a triple A series. It's simply mediocre. I checked out the demo of the game, and as someone who was avid about its online multiplayer, I'm disappointed in the direction the game went in. A lot of what made the game iconically Gears of War vanished. I'm sure the single player portion of the game is good though. I also have no favoritism towards either console. There are games I'd love to have for both. Still, console gaming needs an upgrade. That's basically 7 year old hardware right now. Gotta wait for next gen. I found some unimpressive specs of the 720, looks like its on the same level as the wii u, almost. UPDATE JAN 2013: The specs of the Xbox 720 have been leaked. The next-generation console will feature the same 8-core processor as the Sony PS4 according to vgleaks. However, it has 8GB of core RAM, where the PS4 reportedly has 4GB.It's not a resounding victory for the Xbox 720, though. The Sony PS4 has at the very least a more powerful sounding GPU. The Xbox 720 GPU will have 12 cores, the PS4's 18. However, now that chipset cores are becoming so 'plentiful', the number of cores is not a definitive indicator of power.
