Thor.
i found out the receiver that came with my Boston acoustics is really underpowered. I bought that pioneer for a reason, even though it has optical in, but its sub par for my speakers. it really needs a good 140watt per channel receiver to get the amp really driven to its optimal sound output. The thing is, its advertise as a 114watts per channel when in reality they work wonderfully at a 140 watts per channel, over driving them about 36watts per channel. needs that added wattage to drive all five Edited June 1, 2013 by Thor. Thor.
My amp is advertised at 230watts, but I'm betting i could get 300watts out of it  Edited June 1, 2013 by Thor.
