Omg please don't I have enough problems with windows and microsoft in general...

There's never enough problems with Windows and Microsoft, the problems just multiply. Just like mother in law, Windows is very buggy and those are hardcoded so you can't get rid of them. Mine are at least funny. :yes:

And that's why I don't have Windows or any other Microsoft product any more, all replaced by Debian and open-source software. No bugs so far, and I run the testing distribution instead of stable. :happy:

I'm a Mother-in-law and I think I'm pretty good. I don't interfere, I watch help and give advice if requested... however, you do anything to hurt my babies, then be aware I'll hunt you down and rip your heart out :)

That smiley at the end means she's serious about it :D

Nice one Naomi! xD

On the topic of Linux, I really really WANT to have it installed (Ubuntu, Mint or Debian). But I dont need dual boot (I need Windows) and I dont have another desktop or lappy to run it on.

So until I get a laptop I wont be able to run Linux anywhere D: sadness, I really want to seriously play around in it.

My Mother-in-law is like so:

#!/bin/bash
#
#My Mother-in-law package script (Mother-in-law-1.2.7)
#
#Infinite loop module:
while:
do
    cd $(dirname $0)
    cat yapping | sort --random-sort | head -n $(shuf -i 1-3 -n 1)
done
While you are like so:

#!/bin/bash
#
#Naomis Mother-in-law package script (Mother-in-law-1.2.7)
#
#Condition module:
if [ "$1" == "--advice-request" ]; then
    cd $(dirname $0)
    cat advice | sort --random-sort | head -n $(shuf -i 5-15 -n 1)
else
    echo ""
fi
Do note the content of my Mother-in-law script, it's stuck in an endless loop with no conditions specified. According to my father in law and according to what I saw myself, that is a correct script, she truly is like that.

So as you can see, I am screwed. :(

How about a persistent Live USB? That way you don't have a dual-boot (technically), you can run it anywhere, anytime, on any PC, and all data persists after reboot.

Another solution would be VirtualBox where Linux is run as a virtual OS from within Windows. That tends to work out nicely.

I would agree with you on the USB solution. I remember my techi at uni advising us to do the same when we were mucking around with multiple boot options. Came in so handy when running multiple programing programs too lol. I ended up with two computers doing totally different things on them plus multiple boot options to do myriads of things.

Gosh I loved it
