Yup i can confirm the the multi thread tweak works 100%, absolutely no microstutter.

Now i need to fix Z fighting, then the game would almost be perfect.

*sigh* It would seem I ran head first into a wall with my mod manager. Now I need to figure out how to edit Wine registry through the command line in order to implement the functionality into my program.

Bloody games are made to load the plugins using Windows registry to check which ones are to be loaded and which are to be ignored, in Linux's case that's Wine registry. However, WineHQ doesn't mention the ability to edit the Wine registry through the command line, only through Regedit. I mean really, more or less anything is done through the command line except for what actually matters to me, that sucks. :(

The only other option I can see is using chntpw but the bloody thing is more or less experimental so that's out of the question.

I think I'll go browse through NMM source code and see how it handles loading plugins. If I'm lucky I'll be able to find it, translate the code from C# to C++ and implement that functionality for my manager. If not, I'll have a bunch of useless code sitting on Arch until I figure it out.

lool

I am starting Skyrim fresh, the Multi threading tweaks for Skyrim removes all forms of Micro Stuttering and lag. the game so poorly optimized its not funny. They should really ship it with the tweaks in the ini to begin with.

its a completely new game, works with crossfire configs better to, if you don't use skse. Catalyst does not recognize the exe as a game exe.

+1 to this, I can finally play the game using this tutorial

please give me a shout in the Skyrim trouble shooting thread, it works 100% for any high end machine. Fixes the micro stuttering glitch and improves fps and stability..

That article alone deserves kudos.

Thanks!

And do you know anything like this for Oblivion?

Why not emulate Windows 7 registry in Linux

That's exactly what Wine does and it uses the same registry settings as Windows to make the programs work. However, since the registry is not native to Linux (Linux doesn't use registry at all) and is placed in a location that varies from wineprefix to wineprefix, I can't just go around changing registry entries randomly, I need to be sure I'm working in the right wineprefix.

I found a way to change it through CLI which I can implement into the program, I just need a failsafe to be sure I'm working in the desired game's wineprefix and I need to find where the hell is the plugin info even stored in Windows registry.

Damn it, things would be a lot simpler if the games are native Linux, no registry at all and an easy-to-navigate directory layout.

Feelin pretty good this morning.

Heard some kids talking about a web site called Rate My Professor at the reception last night, so this morning I looked me up to see if I was listed.

Rating of 4.43 - and better - the chili pepper is red - not flaming, but its red.
