My 11 year old pc which i still have kicking around somewhere could run Oblivion on medium.

For the time thats really good, it was my first custom build at the time. I guess that was the advantage.

I can't run KOTOR with shadows or AA on my laptop. It runs at like... 5fps.

The only game I own that even effects my PC is Assassin's Creed IV. Not surprising, the only let-down in my PC is the graphics card (an aging GTX 580) and ACIV is about as graphics-heavy as it looks. Even on middle settings though, it does look stunning.

I had a look at that Starbound game. I like the concept, and it seems they have pulled it off rather well from the video of it.

My only problem is... the pixel-y graphics. I just don't like them. The characters in particular, are very blocky and rigid. If the game had higher resolution sprites, that would be acceptable, and models would have been even better. But... the way it is now... I just don't like it. That sounds pessimistic of me, but that's just all I can see when I look at games like that. And the game looks very fun and interesting, and something I could whittle away hours and hours in, too. :(
