Yikes, headaches are awful especially when they won't go away. Hope you feel better soon.

And I found out my problem. My meshes folder randomly disappeared. I don't know if that would cause the menu issue, but that's why the hair and other things aren't working. Which sucks. I had a lot of meshes. :\

Edit: I don't know whether or not I'm going to keep playing Skyrim at this point. Honestly, while I didn't have too many mods, it was still quite a few and some were large. I don't really want to have to download them again, but there's things I don't like in vanilla Skyrim.

I gave up with Skyrim. I'm going to wait until I have a new computer before trying it out again.

I should too. I'd really like to see the game with all the textures and ENBs and stuff. Even when I had my old computer, I could really only run it on something between high and ultra, and I think once or twice I tried an ENB but they normally didn't work well.

Same. Some of the screenshots that people post just look so awesome, and it kind of pains me that I can't achieve the same. I can run an ENB at about 30fps without any texture mods in Skyrim, but that's not good enough.

Strangely, I can run a high quality ENB on Fallout: New Vegas with texture mods at 50+ fps. Skyrim just doesn't like this laptop for some reason.

Skyui fixes many things, and makes more things work better with other things that normally wouldn't work with that thing in general. And skse.

I've had them both, and I almost always do when Skyrim is installed. I don't know what's going on, but random mods aren't working. Some aren't doing anything at all, some are partially doing things right. I don't even have that many, and I don't remember having this kind of odd problem when I had a lot on my old computer. I don't know what the hell is going on with Skyrim for me right now, but it's kind of pissing me off.

I know that feeling. Heaps of things stuffed up randomly for me in Skyrim too. The most annoying of them was that I couldn't do the Dark Brotherhood at all (Astrid never entered conversation properly, so I couldn't even start the first quest). Reinstalling the game didn't fix it, either.

I think Skyrim just tries to be obnoxious on purpose.

Screenshots make me jealous as well.

I think I might try running Morrowind with some texture mods and stuff, since I just uninstalled Skyrim out of hatred. I also did a little computer cleaning while I was mad. Deleting things I don't use, clearing temporary files, other things like that.

Last week, I had some issue with the Mage's College quest. The Psijic guy wouldn't spawn in the very first quest of it. Don't know why.

In my view steamOS is completely pointless.

Only supports Nvidia right now, which to me was the shocker of them all, considering steamOS was supposedly bragging about mantle and ati at one point.

I have all the system requirements except Nvidia, soon thats going to change when i upgrade to a gtx780ti in the near future.

I think i will go with Gigabyte this time around as i always have.

In fact i might just get get the Nvidia card instead of upgrading to a new case at the moment. Might take me a bit longer.

gigabyte always did have superior cooling.

If you're going to try the Morrowind Overhaul, be prepared to be angered at the installation process. Even if you do manage to get it to install properly, you'll have to tweak it a million times before it works well. That's what happened to me - I can make it look nice, but it loads very slow. Tweaking MGE down to the bare minimum seemed to improve performance, though.

Individual textures and stuff should be fine, though. It would save a lot of hassle, without a doubt!

I think I may have missed out on heaps of Skyrim's content. The world seemed very empty, and I'm starting to wonder if that was because it went all weird for me, or that's just Skyrim. I looked on the wiki pages and stuff, and heaps of the dynamic content seems absent from my game (people don't pick up stuff I drop, no people out in the wilds doing stuff, that sort of thing). Didn't stop me from playing it for 500+ hours, though. :P

Yeah, I was looking through the mods and remembered that. Don't know that I feel like playing any Elder Scrolls (or Bethesda) game right now anyway. I might end up playing Morrowind though because I really feel like I want to. Kind of.

I agree about Skyrim, I feel like I'm missing a lot of stuff. Today before I uninstalled everything, I walked into an inn and talked to someone I had never noticed before in the entire time I've played the game.
