Nice Pix!

I just finished cleaning up a Dell 8900's BIOS. All it would need to compete with your computer would be the GTX 1060 or a GTX 1080. It's got a "GT 730", not a GTX.

ย

Not bad for a $800.00 store bought computer. I've shut off all it's little Internet callers that were calling out for updates.

ย

Whoever bought it before I got it off the scrap pile must of tossed it because of the Dell Update software, Cyberlink updating software, and the auto chipset updater in BIOS all were eating up Data like it was hot air.

ย

Those three bits of software used up nearly two GB of data in less then an hour. Now that I have shut off all of them it hasn't used even 1000th of GB in over an hour. After I shut all of them off I cleared the BIOS settings blocking, cramping, and overloading the Intel I7 6700 CPU. I also found the last person who set the BIOS set it up to use multiple Monitors using both the built in Intel Graphics handler and the Nvidia Cards GPU. I set it up for the Nvidia. I began to surf to find out what, if any, updates Dell might have. The Dell site hasn't had any updates for it for almost a year. Even Cyberlink video software isn't much more than some minor patches, so I didn't bother downloading them.

ย

If the GTX 1080 will work in it I will have a place for it, if my home built computer dies.

ย

Well, it has been two hours and my Data calculator hasn't budged a full 1000th of a GB yet. Looks like I dug a winner out of the heap.
