The Coolest Bad Guy?

My list of awesome evil guys will go on farther than the earth around the sun, but here is a sample.

 

Darth Vader. Classic bad guy, black glothes, cape, shiny helmet, heartless.

If ya liked Vader and you like to read. You might wind up liking Darth Caedus too. He went dark for both similar and radically opposite reasons. He also wound up turning out just like and completely different from Vader. Similar enough to draw some interesting parallels, but unique enough to be original and not a re-hash.

I wouldn't call either Alma or Paxton truly evil. Alma sought retribution and took it to the only extreme that you could expect a horrifically traumatized child to go to. (And lets face it, the warped loons that did that to her had it coming twice over). And Paxton only went bat-sh** crazy because of Almas influence.

So that means Darth Caedus went bad because he hated his mother and had a nagging girlfriend he couldn't get rid of? LOL

 

Actually Anakin loved his mother. He was enraged because she had been enslaved and then killed. Vader went bad because of his desperation and willingness to go to any means(even murder and genocide) if he believed it would help him protect his family. Caedus(Jacen Solo) had a similar desire to protect his family and went to similar means to do it. But Caedus was willing to alienate everyone from him if it accomplished that goal and he followed rules(warped and crazy as they may have been) and only rarely went into a murderous fit of rage. Also, he wasn't soley concerned with his lover and daughter. He genuinly believed that what he was doing was going to make the galaxy a better and safer place and maintained his willingness to die if he believed that it would accomplish that goal. Vader and his Emperor became more and more concerned with personal power. Caedus never got that way.

 

EDIT: Now that I think about your comment a little harder, the more I think i've gone off on a complete and random and unnecessary tangent. Sorry.

When I saw this topic, I immediately had one in mind. As I read through the posts though, it seems that idea is very common.

 

My vote goes to Darth Vader (before the prequels)
