When attempting to endorse a file on TES Nexus, I get the following error:

Warning: mysql_connect() [function.mysql-connect]: Access denied for user 'tes'@'localhost' (using password: YES) in /home/tes/public_html/includes/mysql_remote.php on line 5
The mysql database is currently down. Please come back a little later.

Sorry if it's already been reported, but I thought I'd post it anyway just incase.

Tried a few files and I do get the same warning.

Confirmed, I get the same warning. Something for Dark0ne to have a look at.

Dark0ne may be working in the site's admin and causing this and other issues while he is fixing things. He has been around of and on, which might be what is happening, I see him periodically logged into the forums.

The more information you add to your report the easier it is to verify and resolve, so try to gife examples, screenshots also work good.

Could someone please tell me why i need a proxy to acces the www.fallout3nexus.com site?

I've used 3 pc's with 3 diffrent operating systems, several diffrent browsers (safari, chrome, ff, ie). and NONE would let me get to this site. so I'm guessing it's an IP-related problem. whenever i try to get here it takes a while for loading and then i get a google page with page not found - connection failed error. (it's not the traditional 404 page but i dont think that's relevant).

I've heard that this problem occured to a few other people so i'm not the only one.

If someone could get a look at the site scripts, and fix this problem i would really appreciate it.

kind regards

Your isp's dns server may not have updated yet, your can try adding these lines where indicated:

If you want the site to work for you now before waiting for your DNS to update then you need to add the following to your Host file:

77.72.7.90 fallout3nexus.com

77.72.7.90 www.fallout3nexus.com

77.72.7.90 www.thenexusforums.com

77.72.7.90 thenexusforums.com

77.72.7.82 www.tesnexus.com

77.72.7.82 tesnexus.com

The host file is located in c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\ on XP. I don't know about other systems.

Hope this helps.

This is what I used immediately after the server move and it worked for me and has for others as well. Dark0ne posted it on the ESF and here it is again for those that may need to work around their isp's dns server.
