I'm a very mainstream music fan; I'm just too lazy to hunt around for the up-and-comers, good as they are. Also, I no longer get the music channels on my TV (at least, none of the good ones - a guy can only take so much TMF and VH1 Classics before he wants to rip his own ears off) I don't really hear anything about new bands, mainstream or otherwise.
