SS2394161
Recently I ran into some issues with a few mods and while going about fixing the issue I accidentally removed some masters from a esp. I had repetitively no knowledge an reversing this and checked the right click options. I saw an option to add a master and when I went to check this it added basically (and for lack of a better term) a none existent file after further looking around I found the real way to add masters and went about adding them forgetting to remove the none existent one I added. Now whenever I attempt to load up the program to remove it it tries to load this file but can't due to it well not even existing. Can I go about removing this flag for a master by any means or have I essentially lost this file? Can I restore the file to a previous version prior to my stupid mistake. ArekkusuStorm
Try right clicking your Mod.esp in FNVEdit and choose "Clean Masters". <- Method does not work after testing anyways.Edit: Oh wait, nevermind.. sorry, can't read today. Hrm... I honestly can't think of a way to fix that. Edited March 1, 2014 by ArekkusuStorm
DaemonGrin
If you were using FNVEdit there should be a backup esm you created when you saved (you would have had to do unless you didn't save in which case you would have no problems XD) unless you didn't let fnvedit make the backup. Second if you were using wrye flash/bash you should try FNVEdit to fix the issue. EDIT - had an issue with my reading as well. Since you used FNVEdit try wrye flash/bash to fix it if the backup is MIA. EDIT EDIT - haha forgetful me the FNVEdit backups folder is in your FNV data folder. Good Luck!Geoff Edited March 1, 2014 by DaemonGrin
M48A5
So, you messed up. Not a big deal. Just uninstall the mod, redownload it and reinstall it.
SS2394161
Yeah I remembered about 5 seconds after posting that FNVedit makes back ups thankfully I had one for the file from just a few days ago to use. Just wanted to see if I could learn anything after posting this about the program and learn from it. Good learning opportunity for me since I plan to pursue a career in video game design. That would be great and all M48A5 but this is a mod I made for my self and haven't uploaded to the nexus. Trust me i'm smart enough to know to do that if its possible. I've fixed many a skyrim mods i've f*#@ed up by doing just that, including one I created and luckily enough uploaded to the steam workshop. :P Much appreciated none the less.
