shadyhasankhan
I was just wondering that all quest Mods have no voice acting, or am i doing something wrong. I have put Ruined tale and Tears Of The Fiend. I dont any sound is it suppose to be like that or i am doing something wrong. (I was not able to get from the description of files that they have voice or not)
sierra
Did you check the files itself to see if there was a sound folder? If there is no sound folder in the files then it mean no voice.

(I was not able to get from the description of files that they have voice or not) :unsure:most included mp3 are silent and are there just to time the conversation. There are two main reasons most quest mods are unvoiced: first the CS's lipsynch is broken in the 1.2 version. The other being better no voice at all than a poorly implemented acting. Anyway some parts of the second mod are voiced, but it's later on the quest, if I recall correctly.

JCP768
Check the TOQL it's usually mentioned if a mod is voiced or not. Also check this topic
Netwit2008
Most mods I have there is voice acting for the vanilla dialogue only, the general dialogue you get from most random NPCs (e.g. Hey you're the Hero of Kvatch aren't you....") But on the parts that require the NPC to talk about a topic specific to the mod itself, it is non voiced, just the silent mp3s with lip synching sometimes, sometimes not even that. It's like in Morrowind. You just read. Plus, as JCP said, the description, readme or comments will usually say whether there is voice acting or not. I haven't encountered a mod yet (and I only have about 50+, so not near as many as most folks here) that has audible voice acting for mod specific dialogue. So chances are very high that it's nothing you've done wrong, that's just the way the mod is.

If there is no sound folder in the files then it mean no voice. No sound folder means text to fast to read (or it's a non quest mod), silent mp3s in sound folder means no voice acting.
