Yes, they do suit the atmosphere pretty well, but the naming of their weapons were just intolerable (Chinese pistol? They probably made hundreds of types!). evilneko Posted September 2, 2009 Share Posted September 2, 2009 Neither of my characters use an assault rifle in the traditional sense. :P The poorly-named Kuroe used to use one, but soon switched to lasers. The fresh-out-of-the-vault Blaze is... welll... a pyro. Using the Burns Flames and Fire rebalance mod, she'll be the deadliest little pyro girly in the wastes. :D I guess you could say that's a vote for none. Gimme a laser rifle any day. They probably made hundreds of types!).It gets too confusing for me, trying to remeber all the names of weapons in games like Rainbow Six and so on. Part of the charm of the Fallout series as a whole is the generic weaponry, and for me the generic naming.. Being honest, not many of the custom weapon mods i've seen actually fit in with the universe, firstly 'cause they don't look aged. Usually, the 'Infiltrator' from The Pitt is my favourite, although I wish they'd made it - and the generic Assault Rifle - look more wastelandish. For example, I watched 'Waterworld' the other night and the firearms they use in that movie have like tape and patchy repairs on them. Though, if someone was to make a wasteland-themed L85A1, I would definetely use that. Even then, you could call that 'British Assault Rifle' or something like that.
