ears and tail mods

im new to this whole forum thing, i dont even know if im posting in the right area.hope so. any ways i need to request if anyone can make a mod kinda like alienslofs kahjiit and argonian tails in her gothshop mod. only i need a really detailed wolf tail and ears like in this pic here http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/images/2...-1239928339.jpg

i know there race is the wolf elf wich i want something awful

only i wish i could actualy use this mod but i have another cosmetic mod wich conflicts and causes the eyes to go haywire. i have no clue how to uninstall the beautiful people mod in order to make this work, ive tried countless times to do so. i really hope alienslof can make this mod possible, i love her work,never had a conflict using anything she made. but if she cant get to this mod at least some one,anyone please make this mod posible. im not a modder so i cant make this happen myself

Sometimes you just need to think outside the box. Just because you are not a modder doesn't mean you can't get this to work if you at least know how to cut and paste.

 

First problem; can't uninstall Beautiful People. Solution: Find the original zip/rar/7z that you installed it from. If you don't have it then download it again. Once you have it, just open it without extracting the contents. Now open your Oblivion Data directory. Now you have a basis of comparison (the opened zip file) to know exactly what it added to your game and in which folders so that you can go in and delete the contents from the mod out of your Data directory.

 

Second, I am assuming you want wearable tails since as a non-modder you are unable to add a particular tail in the construction set to the Wolf Elf race. That particular wearable tail I've only seen on a Japanese site. Since I don't know if it's supposed to be public or private and can't ask, I can't give you the link. It wouldn't matter much anyway because the esp file is in Japanese as well and I don't know that it wouldn't cause a conflict.

 

Instead, let me suggest this;

 

Download the wolf elf mod, and download the Lycan Race by Lanell, which has a wolf tail similar to the one in the picture above. Now, unzip each one to its own folder on your desktop.

 

Go into the folders, into the texture folders inside them. Note the name of the body and head texture files in the Lycan mod, and rename the textures in the Wolf Elf mod to match. Now copy the textures so that they OVERWRITE the Lycan's head and body textures.

 

I don't recall if the Lycan race uses the actual Khajiit ear or if it has a copy of the Khajiit ear mesh included with a new name. If it's the latter, you can also rename the Wolf Elf ear mesh and overwrite the Lycan ear mesh.

 

Now you should be able to get rid of the Wolf Elf mod you just unzipped, install the Lycan race and have it look just like the Wolf Elf, with the tail.

is he like that to every one, sheesh, anyways, thanks, i managed to use the face textures from the wolf elf but sadly the ears dont match. ill just have to keep searching, the lycan race is cute but im looking for some sympal add on items like the ears and tails from "slofs wigs" but no worry, if its trouble, i can simply play with what iv got.

Are there any mods out there that add ears and tails just like in "Lycan Race" but instead of being a whole race, just have items that can be equipped? I have a character already and i would much rather just wear an item that gives ears instead of starting over or changing my race and loosing my look.

u can use ANB wearable ears but ull need to use the construction set to attach a tail, tails are hard to come by unless ur looking for cat or dragon, canine tails are near imposable unless u use the construction set

I could make you a wearable wolf tail using the vanilla wolves in the game. It probably won't look like anything from a Japanese site, though :) Send me a PM if you're interested.
