JbMcfee
I think it'd be great if someone created a playable Knight class for those OCD people like me that like it when you put your cursor over your character's class and it has a little description pop up. I have some ideas for what would be (in my opinion) good for a playable/lore friendly Knight. Attributes: Personality/Willpower*, StrengthSkills:BladeBlockArmorer{1}Athletics{2}Heavy ArmorRestoration{3}/Acrobatics{4}Speechcraft Also an ability added through the class for immunity from paralysis would be great, considering it was present in several previous Elder Scrolls games.{5} 1. The Arena description for Knights contains: "Knights are the fighters of the noble class. They are well schooled in the ways of chivalry and conduct themselves with honor and dignity. They have the ability to repair damaged weapons or armor. This ability is done automatically to any weapons or armor in their inventory." Obviously having weapons never deteriorate/auto repair would be unbalancing, so I think Armorer is a good (and practical) choice. 2. Oblivion says Knights are "Strong in body and in character." so Athletics would fit that. 3. Restoration would be a choice fitting the description "knights study the lore of healing" from Morrowind. 4. Acrobatics could be an alternative for restoration, for a more combat oriented character and fitting with Daggerfall having Jumping as a minor skill for Knights. 5. Knights are immune to paralysis in Daggerfall and Arena, so it would be fitting. * Having willpower as an attribute would fit with the immunity from paralysis kind of theme, but personality would fit with Knights being chivalric. I personally think personality a better choice. I think it would be awesome if anyone would take this up. It'd be great. Does anyone have any comments/suggestions? :)

Does anyone have any comments/suggestions? :)I don't know if I get it correctly, To accomplish what you want it can't be done only in the class... the 'attributes' there are under the race/birthsign category and the skills and orientation, indeed in the class. Since the skills can be freely assigned, what you need is a new race/birthsign; restriction due the own engine's design. Since already exists a knight class, editing it to reflect the desired skills does not seems good idea and such mod would be severely limited in it's targeted public, besides it's very simple to create a customized one and name it whatever we want. I do not use races mods, so I don't know if anyone already have paralyze resistance/immunity. The DLC KotN (knights of the nine) places a series of powers and spells on the player and enchantments on the items related to it that 'forces' the character to be chivalric. Some, like the cuirass, can't be equipped if any infamy, and a peregrination is in order to clean it. The boots resonates with Kynareth's blessings and most 'natural' creatures cease attacking the player while wearing them... and so on. So, if something like what you want is feasible it would come from this line, not from the character creation screen (I mean, anything that does not place restrictions on the race/birthsign). Since the skills can be freely assigned, what you need is a new race/birthsign; restriction due the own engine's design. I don't know if I get what you're saying... Every class has two attributes. Healer is personality/willpower, Crusader is Strength/Willpower, etc. I don't think a new race/birthsign is necessary. Since already exists a knight class, editing it to reflect the desired skills does not seems good idea and such mod would be severely limited in it's targeted public, besides it's very simple to create a customized one and name it whatever we want. But editing it to add the 100% paralysis resistance cannot be done in class customization. And I'm sure there are people out there that wouldn't mind a PLAYABLE pre-built Knight mod. Hand to Hand and Illusion are completely unneeded. I do not use races mods, so I don't know if anyone already have paralyze resistance/immunity. I've played KotN on my Xbox version of Oblivion, so I know what it does. And some wouldn't want to be a "religious" knight. Just a warrior of noble birth. Plus, unless there is somewhere else that I'm not aware of to download official Bethesda DLC for Oblivion PC, obliviondownloads.com has been down (for me at least) for some time. So, if something like what you want is feasible it would come from this line, not from the character creation screen (I mean, anything that does not place restrictions on the race/birthsign). Take a look at this mod. It edits classes and adds "abilities" which are always active for CLASSES. As seen in his edited Assasssin class:ASSASSINABILITY - Way of the ShadowAn assassin is one who knows the darkness and poison - also knows sneaking in full-plate isnt a such a good idea as some make it out to be.(Heavy Armor -100, Alchemy +5, Illusion +5, Resist Poison 25% )
