WMV or AVI for the upload

Youtube to ensure everyone could watch it.

I use a variety of media players, but VLC more than 60% of the time.

FLV isn't well known.

MP4 provides a good quality, but not every MP can play it.

MPG are even more difficult to play.

Mov, its advantage is unclear...

Youtube tends to reduce the resolution and accepts videos that are up to 10 minutes .

It's true about the 10 minute limit (unless you're lucky enough to have applied for an unlimited Director account a year or two ago before they stopped offering those), but Youtube shows both HQ and HD resolutions now, up to 1280 x 720.

WMV/AVI

Though AVI might be a tad more portable.

Youtube

It's very convenient and I would use it, but there are going to be some tutorials I'll want to download for faster future reference (my internet is a tad slow so it doesn't stream all the time). On the other hand therem may be tutorials I only need to view once, or would rather only view the first 30 seconds or so. However doing (WMV or AVI) and YouTube shouldn't be an issue I think. You'll have to have it in that format anyways to upload to youtube.

And personally I use Windows Media Player
