I need a Beta Tester

At the moment I'm writing a mod - to put it mildly it's big. However, whilst I can go through the mod and check for errors (clipping walls &c), as you will all know, its very helpful to have some one able to look at it independently. The idea is to provide a large fortified castle, and ample room to hold ALL the interior cells except 2, these will be below ground level.

I had arranged with a friend to look at this when it is complete, but unfortunately I've lost touch with him, and as he's starting college this year, it hardly seems fair to ask him to drop his college work to look at this. The sort of person I'm looking for is someone who is NOT going to be going to or tied up with college OR university, someone who has time on their hands in other words.

Although I'm only about 1/3rd of the way into this mod, I do know from experience that it's asking a lot and it's not fair to ask someone to just "drop everything". After all, as I said, I will alpha-test this mod, what I want is feedback from someone else to give me an idea of any other changes that are needed.

The mod will be contained in a zip file. However, this zip file will have several other files in it, as it relies on other mods. When I upload the final version there will be two zip files, one containing the zip files of the dependant mods, and one containing OMODS. However, that's in the future, I need someone who will be able to give time to look at this mod. Not right now, it'll take a week or two or more, and though I have more or less finished the exterior, there is ALL the interio still to do.

Anyway if anyone's interested, please let me know.

Thanks guys, it's going to take a while yet, believe me, I've spent 6 1/2 days on the exterior alone! When I said it was big, I meant it, the interior is also going to be complex and that job I'll start on either tonight or tomorrow.

As I said earlier, I can alpha test it myself - it's annoying to have tile sections clipping, and that's mainly what I'll be looking for. What I want is an independent feedback so that anything I may miss, I can get feedback and sort that out as well. Before I let you have it for beta testing, I'll check it out with a conflict detector. It will be a fairly large zip file as it will have to contain other mods as well.

If you don't object, I'll make a note of your names and get back to you when the mod is more nearly complete.

A beta-tester, eh? I should be progressively less busy over the next few weeks at least, and may have a bit of time to check it out on the weekends for sure. Do you just need feedback on what to improve or someone to help you find errors? Or both?

To calliton and jaosals42; all I really need is someone to go into the mod and check it out, if you've activated screenshots fine if not this is the way:

In C:\Ny documents\My Games\Oblivion, you'll find the Oblivion.ini file, look for this line bAllowScreenShot=0 Change it to read bAllowScreenShot=1. Note: Whatever you do do NOT use the Oblivion.ini file in the main game folder,

It's a good idea to make a backup of the folder before you alter anything, to do that open it in a text editor (Notepad is fine), alter the save setting to All Files, then add .bak to the end, and save it. You should now have a file named Oblivion.ini.bak all you need to do is to make the changes, again make sure the setting is All files, but this time just save as Oblivion.ini

If you guys are agreeable, I'll put you down on my friends list and make a note that you can do some beta testing.

No worries. I already have the screenshots enabled for the game. I'll get started reviewing it once I have the mod. (added btw).
