Point Lookout Enemies -_-

Why did they decide to make Point Lookout enemies tougher than super mutants? I realise that being an addon it's likely to be played after the person has completed the game, but really, I just found it kind of stupid.

I know they added an "object effect" that adds 35 damage ( unresistable ) to every attack they make on the player, but how do backwater hicks using bummed out old weapons do so much damage? If they wanted to make it harder surely they could have found a better way of doing it, such as higher weapon skills, more enemies etc. I just can't see why they'd be more dangerous than power armoured Enclave soldiers.

Also I'm not sure on this, but do they have a "hidden" damage reduction as well? I know they have a lot of health ( lol, more than a Deathclaw in some cases  ), but sometimes a sneak attack critical doesn't even kill them. ( Headshot of course. ) At least Super Mutants have an excuse for being tough, but these swamp folk? Nope. No reason to be so tough.

Anyway that was just a bit of a rant over my dissapointment so far. It doesn't really make the game any harder, just slower and breaks the immersion.

So you're saying that mutant rednecks shouldn't be strong?

Indeed, that is idiotic. Rednecks with spades whose spades more or less ignore power armour. Lousy games design to say the least.

Use this.

Nice one, thanks for the link, I was planning on doing that for myself, but figured there might be one out there already :)

Does anyone know if/how MMM works with point lookout? It'd be nice to see increased spawns there.

MMM works fine, get the PL esp and add it to your launch. But frankly, those buggers are tough enough without adding more of them into the mix :)

*sigh* I already have it, it's obviously not working.... I'll check the load orders see if that's why. I'm also working on a mod to make them have far less HP, so that will probably help.

Maybe these backwater hicks are simply too brainless to know whene they are dead?

But I agree wholeheartedly with the points you've made. The only thing I like about Point Lookout is the "Deliverance" kind of feel it seems to add.

BTW, what's the best way to kill those Ghoul Reavers; first time I encountered one of those I died within seconds..
