i am having random ctd's even though boss says everythings peachy,as well as cleaning mod files in tes edit as well as trying t use mod organizer.i have come to understand that adding a bash patch eliminates this,is that correct? how can i do this? i am writhing in skyrim limbo not being able to play it,after painstakingly modding the world perfectly to my tastes. any help would be GODLY!

cheers mates!

A bashed patch is not a CTD solver. It may take care of some issues but it is not going to magically resolve all crashes.

What a bashed patch does:

merges leveled lists

merges very minor tweak mods that are ESP only allows those ESPs to be inactive

allows adjustment of some game settings

To create a bashed patch you need to use Wrye Bash

Bashed patch should also be rebuilt for any new mods added.

Try posting load order or BOSS report in a spoiler for other users to look for/point out any mod conflicts or known issues with mods. Details of the CTD like where, when and how the CTD happens. Whether you can replicate the CTD with a New or Clean (Vanilla) save.

Since you say Random crashes we can rule out missing masters n such.

Try a new Game , see if the Crashes stop, if not (you still crash) then it is a mod problem, could be a bad mod, incompatible mod pair , bad NiF , Load order. Mods needing patches.

When you crash....go back and do the exact same thing, make sure it really is random.

IF you have more then 2 mods in your BOSS log that say ("Bash Tag: bla bla..) then yes make a Bashed_patch. It (bashed) is not a crash fix, it makes mods work together. one mod may be overwriting changes from another mod, worst case is the changes from one mod don't appear in the game. This is usually not crash material.

Post your System Specs.

Have you..... SKSE 1.7 and AN SKSE.ini,..... ENBoost? If you ever removed a script mod in your game ...Have you, Script cleaner?
