Just got a hold of the new Avenged Sevenfold album. I've been a big fan of Avenged Sevenfold who I attribute to getting me in to metal music back in 2004 when I was going to the local rock clubs; loved Waking the Fallen, took me a while to get used to City of Evil and M.Shadows new vocals after M.Shadows borked up his voice box but I love it now. The self-named album was a bit hit-and-miss but they made up for it with Diamonds in the Rough which was awesome. Still listening to the new album but Track #2 is a gem. Give it a listen. This is talented metal, not noise called metal.

Interesting. The brutal death-metal style vocals offset the more 'standard' vocals well. Worth a listen for sure.

those guys aren't too bad :) But clean vocals...well depending on clean vocals...totally kills it. Catamenia has decent clean vocals....but it's borderline too "whiny" for me.

Hi Surenas: I still cannot listen, but I'm glad when you post the lyrics. I enjoy reading them. I can almost imagine the music that goes along with them. I will be so glad when we get this issue sorted out and I can go back to listening to your music. It was always one of my favorite things to do on this site. You and Silver have some of the best music!!

As a quick flashback, when I first heard the 'deathgrowl' style of vocals I didn't like it actually. Now 25 years later I prefer it over cleaner vocals. The whiny comment is funny to me as well, I've personally told people that before about their stuff. :tongue:

 

Time for classic German thrash metal, and a memorable album cover to boot!
