I like Nick Cave a lot. He's a poet. Dunno if you listened to his autobiographical audiobook (The Sick Bag Song) or his truly literary audiobook he narrates himself (The Death of Bunny Munro), or if you saw his film (20,000 Days on Earth), but I like his almost talking-style of singing (not unlike Tom Waits). I do think the Weeping Song is his most beautiful song, but I like him more for his humanity overall.

I note, however, that he is one of the few artists who does not allow use of his music on YouTube by anyone but himself. This is surprisingly rare, though perfectly fine of course.

As for this thread, I'm listening to lots of music, but it's all stuff I wrote myself so don't feel it's appropriate to link here as the thread seems to be for linking other persons' works.

Absolutely, me too. He also has amazing chemistry with everyone he collabs with (and he chooses those people very, very well). From the things you mentioned I only know The Sick Bag Song. I could listen to him for hours.

I didn't see Leolo and don't really watch movies anymore (though I try to watch a few a year at least, but since I went legally blind it's got to be a super super good film I very much want to see to try to watch it, something in the caliber of Only God Forgives).

My favorite Tom Waits film where he plays a role is "Wrist Cutters" (of course, since it's about people who committed suicide). Thinking about it, Only God Forgives and Wrist Cutters have a significant amount in common since they both have God characters who judge the main characters. Another film (which I love) with that theme is Let Me Make You A Martyr.

As for what I've been listing to, I guess I'll link one. I sit there and spend a few hours writing a poem (lately sometimes prose poems), and then I test how it sounds with music. Usually I can spend hours and hours at a time this way, and it's peaceful to me. One of the things I like about Suno (Artificial Intelligence) is I can take a poem I write and hear it a dozen different ways, many of them beautiful in different ways. But it begins with a poem, always.

Well, it is worth it! I do not know where it can be streamed now (I watched it the first time as a teenager on ARTE at night) though. Knowing some of your poems I can imagine you would like it a lot.
