not too bad, good guitars, good growling...clean vocals killed it for me though. Ensiferum is the only one I'll do with clean vocals...but it's more folk style. Dark Tranquillity scares me when the singer sings clean...sounds like Elvis but completely wasted lol.

I love the mix of clean vocals, growls and screams. It's awesome. Especially christian alvestams voice.

What about August Burns Red/Heaven Shall Burn style bands? No clean singing, only shouting stuff.

Not really haha. I likes my Metallica, Pantera, Iron Maiden, Slayer, Ozzy, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple...I listen to folk music, medieval music, video game soundtracks, classical, etc. But I just don't really like the clean vocals with death metal...half the time it's too whiny sounding, or it just doesn't sound right to me....guess it just sounds too mainstream. I'm pretty picky I guess. There's just something about growling that clicks with me...

 

heh looking at my music player...don't have too much...Amon Amarth, Catamenia, Dark Tranquillity, Dethklok, Danzig, Corrosion of Conformity, Ensiferum, In Flames (pre 2000), Kalmah, Moonsorrow, Mors Prinicpium Est, Shade Empire, Insomnium, At The Gates, Morrowind OST, The Witcher OST...most of the other stuff I listen to on the radio or still have on CD and haven't bothered ripping yet :P

 

Not too big on shouting or screaming either lol. Growling...I don't know, I just like how it sounds. In Flames...now they were good stuff back in the day, nowadays, they make me sick lol... That last album...wow worst $15 I've ever spent.

Ink Spots, the all known composer(s) of ''Maybe'', ''If I Didn't Care'' and, of course, ''I Don't Want to Set the World on Fire''. I've recently got their album and has been listening to it. What I realized was, most of the songs start with the same melody you hear at the beginning of ''I Don't Want to Set the World on Fire''. Odd, huh? Does anyone know if it has a meaning or something?
