An update on the mask. While I think it could use a more skilled texturer, I'm quite pleased with the outcome.

 

I played around with the normal map until I got the effect desired. Here are several pictures.

I've been trying to think up more early quests to put between meeting Ealdor and entering Apocrypha.

 

I had a thought when I remembered kieranfoy's suggestion of incorporating Hides-His-Eyes.

 

Well, apparently Hides-His-Eyes, after being attacked by someone that Ealdor can't recall, which leaves it

open that either the slave hunter or the Nerevarine killed him, was revived because of his use of Hist sap.

 

Afterward he fled Morrowind to come to Cyrodiil and briefly joined the Blackwood Company. Once he found

out their secret about the tree (which he will only allude to) he left the company infuriated at them. Now, all

he does is sit in the Five Claws Inn and drink and read.

 

He says "When I was young I was a slave, and did more work than I ever planned to do. So now,

I will sit here and do nothing at all."

 

Well, not quite nothing. It turns out that Witseidutsei, the publican of the Five Claws Inn, and Huj-EI (HHE),

are lovers (They sleep in the same bed now). He is sad that he cannot leave Leyawiin to buy her a present,

because he's afraid the Blackwood Company agents would kill him, and that he can't spend a lot of money

because Alessia Caro is known for having wealthy Argonian strangers, who not a lot of people would notice

missing, taken to her little 'guest room.'

 

So, he sends you to get him a bouquet of flowers, and a gold diamond ring. You return with these items and

he tells you that he will deliver the Hist Sap to the place Ealdor specified and thanks you because he plans on

using the items you brought him to ask Witseidutsei to be his mate officially (Marry him).

 

If you come back here Witseidutsei will be wearing the ring.

In the interest of having no more spoilers, I intend to stop posting an more quest information,

but is anyone still interested in this mod? I know we're all very busy, but since I'm the only one

posting anymore, I'd thought I'd ask.

Of course there's people interested in this mod, and I'm sure it will have several downloads once it's released, but this topic has evolved so much from it's origins. You started it to ask for feedback on your story, and I think you got plenty, from there you developed the story and now it seems you took charge and you're doing pretty well so I don't think you need help or other's approval because it seems you have a clear idea of what you want.

 

My advice, if you want some more feedback regarding your mod, then ask for it explicitly, instead of posting a pic so people could say "ohh, cool", first develop the idea a little bit, identify it's weakness and then ask for other's opinions about it or some workarounds. I saw your pic of ouroboros, and I was going to say that I find the body part to be quite low-poly, but I didn't writte it because you wasn't asking our opinion, you was simply stating what you did so far, so I didn't know if you already planned to work more on the body. Man I don't mean to be rude, this is only my most sincere advice so you can get insightful feedback, if you want some interaction with the people here on the forums then give them something to interact with, otherwise this becomes a show room, and that doesn't tend to favor unreleased mods. It may generate some expectation but this can't be sustained eternaly without a release.

 

Oh man excuse me for this long post, I hope I've made it clear. My best wishes to you and your mod.

Zprospero did you make those masks!! :O if you did then nice work just tell me if you need me for anything at all

 

Im free to create weapons for you if you need weapons based on your mod either Explain to me what your looking for or just upload me a picture and ill do what i can :)

Thank you for your direct response, but please understand that I'm not asking for people to say "Oh, cool." When I post anything I am looking for advice on

making it better. The statue of Ouroboros, for instance, is a slaughterfish right now. I think it's awful. Ideally, I'll have a new model soon enough. I am always

asking for criticism or ways of making things better when I post. That's the main reason why I'm posting it. I may not even post the finished version of anything

because I want it to be a surprise. Thank you for pointing out I wasn't being clear. I will try to be more direct in any further updates I post here.

Yes, I did make the masks. I would like a special dagger for the fight with Jagar Tharn, but currently I don't have an image in mind.

Are you good at UV and texturing? Because I have a special weapon I've made as a quest reward, but I can't get a texture I'm happy with.

Yes, we're still working on it. I just needed a brief break.

I mentioned I was having trouble with. Don't worry about that if you don't have the time, though.

Broken in to two parts:

Rise of Ouroboros - Ascension (The part currently being developed)

Rise of Ouroboros - Crusade (The part after Ealdor becomes a god)

 

What does everyone think of the name? And if you think you have a better idea, please share.
