j4y1981
Not sure if this should be posted here or not but here goes anyway. I recently got Windows 7 but havent actually installed it yet i was wondering if FO3 along with all its addon programs (FOMM,GECK etc) would work ok with it? I dont want to install it just to find nothing works and ive looked all over the net for info most just guess and thats only for the game itself not the other stuff. If anyone could confirm it would be greatly appreciated :). Thanx -jay PS i forgot to mention the Windows 7 i want to use is 64bit to.
phoneyLogic
Yeah, works nearly as well as on XP. Have a look here on Point V) Installing Fallout. There you'll find some information regarding Windows 7. Hope it helps and good luck :)
j4y1981
Hmm it didnt really say if everything works aswel as it does on xp/vista only hinting that it wil run. Im using vista now and have been since i got fallout with no problems just wondered if anyone had it installed on W7 yet?
phoneyLogic
just wondered if anyone had it installed on W7 yet?Yeah, me for example ^^.Most people who installed it on Win7 only reported the vista typical problems. Win 7 is pretty similar to Vista, but it should allow more performance.

BigBodZod
I'm currently running FO3 GOTY on Windows 7, RC1, x64-bit just fine. I did have to make a few changes, like to the load order, I had to load Point Lookout as the last loading ESM after Mothership Zeta. Also, there was another tweak that helped as well, this was due to running a quad-core cpu, it changed the engine affinity to only use 2 cores so the CTD's and other issues have basically vanished for me ;)
